Phase I of the project included an adaptive re-use Master Plan and exterior site program for the historic core of Liberty Station. The NTC's design team’s scope of work involved two phases. Now known as Liberty Station, this 28 park-like acre project became a cultural hub within the NTC District that contains performing arts buildings, museums, galleries, small non-profit artisan buildings, community centers, restaurants, meeting spaces and offices. This involved the restoration of 26 architecturally significant buildings to their original splendor. (RNT) and Page & Turnbull Architects led the historic renovation and adaptive re-use of San Diego’s Historic Naval Training Center (NTC) at Liberty Station. The event is free to attend, but because we offer attendees the opportunity to stroll the event with a beer or glass of wine, you will find a fence surrounding it. More than 150 fine artists’ work will be featured, along with interactive art for families at KidsWalk, a full palette of musical performers, food trucks and stands, and more. In a venue overlooking the ocean, attendees can explore different facets of art while enjoying beautiful views and much more. In 2023, ArtWalk Carlsbad will continue be offered FREE to attendees. The event will focus on fine art on display and for sale by the artists, who travel from all over the US and Mexico to show and sell their work. The fabulous outdoor setting features a verdant lawn, gorgeous water features, and an abundance of free parking. The Arts District at Liberty Station has blossomed into San Diego’s premier venue for the arts, museums, dining and entertainment. The show celebrates the creativity from both sides of the border, with more than 150 artists coming from across several states and Mexico to show and sell their artwork, including paintings, photography, glass and ceramic, jewelry and sculpture.
